Orthodontics offers solutions for children and adults with dental or facial issues arising from a range of problems including:
Crowed or crooked teeth
A bad bite
Issues with the alignment of the jaw joint
Impaired function of the jaw joint
Misaligned teeth
An overbite or underbite

Adult Orthodontics: Orthodontic treatment is generally best carried out in children, but adults can also have orthodontic treatment and more and more are doing so. Age is not an issue. There are several options for adults as explained above.

Metal Braces: Made from wires and springs attached to tiny metal plates or a plastic mould. Braces apply gentle forces to teeth and encourage them to move slowly to adopt the correct alignment.

Lingual Braces / Incognito: Lingual braces are placed on the inside of teeth. The biggest advantage of lingual braces is that they are not visible.

Invisalign / Clear Step: Invisalign treatment, also known as Clear Step, uses a series of virtually invisible aligners custom-moulded to your teeth to help reposition them over time. The advantages are that the aligners can be removed when eating and cleaning, and it is not obvious to others that you are having treatment or wearing braces.
